I MAY NOT UNDERSTAND

'And being in the form of God',
I wondered what this meant;
He seemed so much a man, like me,
This one from heaven, sent.

He understands each heartache;
He knows my every care;
He felt all my temptations
And even wept in prayer.

What means these words I hear him speak;
"My Father and I are One"
And, : "You have seen the Father,
If you have seen the Son" ?

I Cannot say I understand
His glory and His power,
But the one without whom naught was made,
Is with me in each hour.

I can't understand His greatness,
My mind can't comprehend
One so great He knows all things;
The beginning from the end!

But this I know, He loves me,
That I might live, He died.
The one who hung the stars in place,
For me was crucified!
