AND HEAVEN’S JUST AHEAD
To some folk, life’s a worry
And daily care, a grind,
But it was harder on my Savior,
And He didn’t seem to mind.
He went about His duties
Where’er the Spirit led;
And always did the Father’s will,
‘Though the cross lay just ahead.
For the joy that was set before Him,
He died a death of shame;
For the joy of taking home to God,
Those who call upon His name.
So, with joy, then let us follow;
We’ll find it’s like He said;
His yoke is easy, His burden light,
And heaven’s just ahead.
