WHO’S THE FOOL?
The philosopher sat with chin in hand,
He studied, and he thought,
“What’s my purpose in this world?”
The answer, long he sought.
He searched ‘til all his life was gone,
But never got around
To doing anything for God;
His thoughts were too profound,
The fool ran helter-skelter;
With pleasure his to taste,
Taking time to think of God
Seemed an awful waste.
But the man with Godly wisdom,
(Though some called him the fool)
Recognized the right of God;
Gave Him his life to rule.
His life fulfilled its purpose,
With nothing left undone,
He became a fool for Christ’s sake,
But many souls he won!
