NO MAN CARED

Psa 142:4 I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.

He looked upon man’s every need
And in compassion, never spared;
Then cried upon the cross, “I thirst”;
Men mocked, and no one cared!

For vilest sin, he cried, “Forgive”!
But no one seemed to care;
They tried to drown with curses,
The lonely saviour’s prayer.

They watched him die and no one cared
That he had raised the dead -
Caused the blind to see and deaf to hear,
Or remembered words he’d said.

When, forsaken by the Father,
They heard his anguished cry,
They only laughed, no one cared -
Then they watched him die.

No one ever cared like Jesus -
No one ever shed such tears;
Not for self, but for lost man -
My saviour really cares!
