THE HOUSE OF GOD



Such beauty, has the house of God;

T'was builded by the Lord;

Established in His righteousness;

Purchased with His blood.


Its foundation stone is solid;

It has been tested and t'will stand,

With all the loving work of building,

Done by the Master's hands.


Christ is its foundation,

Its builder and its head;

And to us who are its members,

He is our daily bread.


Each living stone in this house

(Someone like you or me)

Has by His grace been pardoned;

By His blood, set free.



The mortar, strong, that binds these stones

Is love, a gift divine;

Its strong beams are its doctrines -

Installed by His design.



Its light is from the Word of God,

And never, shall it fall;

His house, His church will serve Him

Till we hear His final call.
