CONSIDER THE LILIES

Consider the lilies, how they grow,
In glory, all arrayed;
Splendor excelling robes of kings;
My child be not dismayed.....
Your worth is more than flowers
That neither toil nor spin;
That last but for a day or so,
Then aren't seen again.

The God of Heaven is your Father;
He clothes the lilies of the field;
You're worth more than flowers;
Just yield to Him, just yield!

Think not that faded garments,
Which this old flesh may wear,
Are proof your Father's failing,
Or maybe doesn't care.
For someday, shining, glorious robes
Of righteousness you'll don;
The lily of the field must fade;
You'll be forever like His Son!
