CLOSET OF PRAYER
Mat 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.


His closet was an olive tree,
‘Twas there he went to pray;
Poured out his heart to God above,
Till night would turn to day.

If we would know the thrill that comes
From reaching God in prayer;
We too, must find a ‘closet’,
And talk to him from there.

It may be in a forest
Or at the river side,
Or in a room at midnite,
Our heart we open wide.

Some might pray for introspection,
While others pray for show -
But when you really want to talk to God,
To your ‘closet’ you must go.

There, with the world shut our,
Go boldly to the throne of grace;
In the privacy of your closet,
You can pray, face to face.
