HE IS EVERYTHING TO ME

My soul was sin-sick, bruised and torn,
My heart was weary, sad and worn;
A physician was what I needed then,
So Jesus came and delivered from sin.

I wandered then from his sheltered fold,
Out in the world where the winds blew cold;
I needed someone, I felt so alone;
Christ the Good Shepherd brought me home!

When I felt that no man cared for my soul
And dark grief and anguish over me stole;
When I needed someone and there was no other;
He was a friend that sticketh closer than a brother!

I needed someone to show me the way
That I should walk and live every day,
I needed a teacher; One really ample,
Then Jesus said, "Follow my example!"

Whatever I've needed, He's always supplied,
He's answered every time I've cried.
My song of praise; let it ever be,
'Jesus', He's everything in this world to me!
