Eph. 2:19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
NO MORE A STRANGER
He went back to the place of his childhood,
To the village where he was born.
He walked the streets, a stranger,
Alone, ignored, forlorn.
He searched the faces of strangers,
No recognition there-.
He looked in vain for a familiar face
But gave up in despair.
He was away too long; All he knew were gone;
Childhood haunts were no more;
‘Electronics’ was the sign he read
Above the old candy store!
Then, all alone in a rented room
As he drew his last earthly breath,
He fled to the arms of Jesus;
A smile crossed his face in death.
Streets of gold were strange, but familiar.
And he saw no strangers there.
Everyone called him ‘Brother’
And friends were everywhere!
There will never be a stranger in heaven,
For all are born of the Spirit of God.
We will leave the land of strangers
When we’re placed beneath the sod.
