THANK YOU!

Did you ever help a hapless soul,
And see him then depart,
And leave without a ‘thank you’?
Did it almost break your heart?

Did you ever make a sacrifice,
To give someone a gift,
To see it idly laid aside?
Did you get a little ‘miffed’?

Has Jesus ever helped you,
When earthly friend could not?
Have you ever failed to thank Him?
Maybe you, ------forgot?

What of the precious gift He gave?
Have you cherished His great love?
Or have you idly laid aside,
His blessings from above?

Let us thank Him for His blessings,
And never fail to give,
Credit for His gift of love;
For by His grace we live!
