REMEMBER?

Remember how you used to walk?
Your path went downward then;
When thoughts were all of pleasure,
And every step was sin.

Remember how the Spirit
Would stir your sin-pressed soul,
When you heard about the Saviour;
How He could make you whole?

Remember the peaceful feeling
When Christ became your own?
You were so determined
To make your heart His throne.

Remember how He’s always been,
In times of sore distress,
The first to offer comfort;
To cheer you and to bless?

Remember how you’ve failed Him?
Remember how you’ve strayed?
Remember, then His suffering;
Remember what He paid.

Remember those still out in sin;
Remember and be true,
So they may see the peace and joy
Of Christ alive in you.
