WONDERFUL WORDS

At His command, the worlds stood fast;
He spake and it was done.
At a word, the sea and storm were stilled,
When commanded by the Son.

As He spoke His will and wrote the law,
The mountains skipped like rams.
In awesome wonder, Israel saw
The little hills play like lambs.

He spake, and blind men saw again;
At His command, the demons fled;
He had only to speak, to cleanse the lepers,
And raise Lazarus from the dead!

O, Wonder at His power!
Marvel at His word!
Ten thousand Alleluias!
In my behalf, His voice is heard!

In His promise, "Peace, I give you",
And then in prayer, He spoke for me.
In His present intercession,
His power keeps me free.

His word shall some day, judge the world;
At His command, the stars shall fall;
Yet He only speaks in love to me!
May I ever heed His call!
