What Then?

WHAT THEN?

After a man reaches his highest ambition -
After he's made all the money he needs -
After he's seen all the countries and places -
After he's known far and wide for his deeds -

After he's tasted of life's every pleasure,
And he sees there are no more mountains to climb;
After he's used all his life for himself
And suddenly finds he has run out of time.

Then what will it matter, the wealth he has made;
What difference the sights and the places he's seen,
If he stands all alone at last in the judgment
And faces God's wrath with no Saviour between?

And what about you? Think hard now, on this;
If you reach every goal, yet die, lost in sin,
After turning down Christ and life everlasting,
Without hope, without Christ, lost forever! What then?
