HE’S REAL TO ME!

Could I have joined that little band
Who traveled with the Lord,
Through countryside and villages,
Listening to His word;

Could I have seen Him cleanse the leper,
Heard Him speak to still the sea;
Would my seeing all these marvels,
Make my Lord more real to me?

How could anything be more real
Than when He came into my heart?
Or when He comforts me in sorrow,
Or in rejoicing shares a part?

I may not have seen the miracle
Of the water into wine,
But I drink of living waters,
For the living Saviour’s mine!

I may not have walked with Him in Nazareth,
Nor along the shores of Galilee
But He’s with me as I serve Him now;
My Saviour’s real to me!
