At whose feet shall the blame be laid

For the battle lost today?

Who is the 'Achan' in our camp?

Who did, the cause of God, betray?



Cut deep, O Holy Spirit!

Mighty gulf of conscience, span!

Let conviction mark the guilty thus,

"Thou art the man!"



Who hides the thing forbidden?

Who failed to fill his place?

Who cut a corner here and there?

Who faltered in the race?



Lord, let me point out all the failures,

Of these folks around me here,

And you'll see what keeps my spirits down

And fills my heart with fear!



Lord, Why do you look on ME?

Run that by me once again?

Yes! Now I see the mark of guilt,

I am the man!
