'I NEED'



So many times the words are said,

"I need this or that-

I need a different suit of clothes;

I think I need a hat."



These 'needs' we often long for,

Are mostly just desire;

If we think of things we really need,

Our thoughts will be much higher!



I need the prayers of all His saints,

Because I need more grace -

I need more will to serve Him -

I need more trials to face!



I need more Christian Fellowship -

I need more souls to win -

I need more determination

To cleanse my life from sin!'



I need those things He's promised

In the treasure of His Word;

And O how I need, more than tongue can tell;

The presence of my Lord!
