AT THY WORD I WILL
In your service, Lord, there are many jobs,
For which I'd rather not apply,
But if you want me to attempt one,
Then give me grace, I pray, to try.
There are many balmy, pleasant lands;
There are others, cold with snow,
Whatever field you choose for me,
Just give me grace, I pray, to go.
To witness, is sometimes easy,
then again, I'm far too meek;
But whenever opportunity comes,
Give me grace, I pray, to speak.
In the midst of all life's stormy doubts,
Just whisper, 'peace, be still',
Then however hard the task you set,
Lord, at thy word, I will.
