BECAUSE HE IS COMING

Because He is coming
To call out His own;
Because He is coming
To sit on His throne;

Because when He comes,
Then in judgment I'll stand,
I would seek to be guided
Right now by His hand.

Because He is coming,
I'd have others to learn
Of the danger to souls,
Should His mercy be spurned.

Because when He comes
As both Bridegroom and King,
All the redeemed of all ages,
His praises shall sing!

I will praise Him today
While this body has breath,
And rejoice in the vict'ry
He has promised o'er death.

Because He is coming
In glory, honor, and power,
I long to be ready,
Should He come back this hour!
