NOTHING NEW

What can be said of the Love of God,
That’s ne’er before been said?
What could be written, that tells of His grace,
That no man before, ever read?

In speech, Oh so fancy,
Or talk that’s just plain;
We may search all our lives,
For a new thought, in vain.

But the story of old,
It can still thrill the heart!
How He loved us, and suffered,
And in death, took our part!

We need nothing new,
But a renewal each day,
Of His grace and His mercy,
As we go on life’s way!
