THESE THINGS ARE MINE

I may never enter Gethsemane,
Where Jesus knelt to pray,
But I can go to the throne of Grace,
For He opened up the way.

To stand upon the pavement
In Pilate’s Hall and hear
The cries of “Crucify Him”,
Aren’t mine to hear.

But to bear His name and do His will,
Is my privilege by grace.
I may never see Golgotha,
But I’ll see His blessed face!

I may never see the empty tomb
Nor the streets where Jesus trod;
But I’ll see my living Saviour
And I’ll stand at the throne of God!

A trip to see the sights of earth
I never may afford;
But greater things than these are mine,
Purchased by my Lord!
